The beautiful Butterfly binary Nebulae (NGC 6302) is found in the constellation of Scorpius. And the astrological sign of Scorpio is associated with transformation and metamorphosis, just like the transformational metamorphosis process that a butterfly undergoes during its natural life cycle from egg, to caterpillar to Pupa and then on to its final adult reproductive stage as a butterfly.
Butterflies are mysterious and beautiful creatures said to represent spiritual transformation, rebirth, new life, changes and hope. Butterflies are also considered to be messengers, angels sent from the spirit realm to help guide and to give us messages, signs and confirmations.
Beautiful Butterfly
The ‘Butterfly Effect’, which is also a part of Chaos Theory, believes that small seemingly insignificant events can lead to great unpredictable significant changes over time as well as the changing of the state of natural systems. A small gesture of an act of kindness can take on an unprecedented ripple effect that could ultimately affect many people for the greater good far and wide from the initial gesture or person…food for thought and reflection as we go about our daily lives and the actions we undertake. Interesting side note, the computer model created by mathematician Edward Lorenz that led to the concept of the butterfly effect also resembled a butterfly.
The Butterfly Nebulae found in the deep regions of space is a reminder of the famous axiom ‘as above, so below’. The wonders of creation that we see around us here on earth can be found and reflected above in the heavens and in space, the galaxy. Demonstrating the interconnectedness of everything.
